Before You Ride

Please read this before your rental so you can enjoy the island safely.

How it works

Book
Reserve through the Yaeyama Kanko Ferry booking site. Please give a phone number we can reach during your rental.

Travel to Taketomi Port
About 10 minutes by ferry from Ishigaki Port Ritou Terminal. Ferry tickets are not included in the rental fee.

Take the shuttle
On arrival, head to your left. Our shuttle will take you to the shop.

Ride the island
Pickup from 9:00. Return within your plan duration and by 17:00 at the latest.

Return
Return to the pickup point. A recovery fee applies if the bike is left elsewhere.

Rules

Riding rules

We will tell you the maximum assist level for riding within the village when you pick up your bike.

Within the village, park only at designated bicycle parking.
Riding shirtless or in swimwear is not permitted within the village.
Some areas are off-limits, including sacred sites (utaki), the sea, beaches and the path to Aiyaru Beach.
Riding side by side or carrying a passenger is not permitted.
Injuries to the rider are not covered by insurance and are at your own expense.
If you get a puncture, stop riding immediately and contact us. Continuing may damage the bike and incur charges. No refund is given in this case.
The bikes have no locks. Please contact us immediately if one is stolen or lost.
Crows may take belongings left in the basket.
Please ride safely, following traffic rules and our instructions.
Report any theft, damage or accident immediately. You may be liable for repair and compensation costs arising from your own negligence.
Please show identification if requested.
Please do not board the shuttle in swimwear or wet clothing.
Please provide a phone number we can reach you on during your rental.
